At an award ceremony held at The Three Kings Hotel in Basel on Monday June 3, three graduating ISB students were awarded first, second and third prizes in the Zonta Basel Young Women in Public Affairs award.
Zonta is a worldwide organization that seeks to promote the role of women in society. The Young Women in Public Affairs award is presented annually to young women who have shown community involvement, exercised leadership, demonstrated international understanding and shown concern for the status of women in their host country and internationally.
Rebecca Greubel, who was awarded first prize locally, also gained the second prize in the Zonta District that encompasses Southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. The second and third prizes locally were awarded to Maria Isabel Raeschle and Carolina Borgas, respectively. Each of the three prize-winners spoke on the evening of their achievements, serving as great ambassadors for ISB.
