The Diploma Programme represents the culmination of the years of learning and self-development which began in preschool or nursery.
As students complete their journey towards graduation, we at ISB seek to help them prepare for their future lives and careers.
Several options are available to students in the Diploma Programme:
The vast majority of students in the Diploma Programme follow a 2-year programme leading to the externally-assessed International Baccalaureate Diploma. For many, this is a preparation for university or some other form of higher education. Increasingly recognised by universities worldwide for its high academic standard, this is an excellent programme for students who see a university education as their next step.
For students who do not require an IB Diploma, or who would find the rigorous academic study of the IB Diploma Programme too challenging, we offer an internally-assessed High School Diploma. This programme is structured around the IB Diploma, but assessment, which is to a different standard, is conducted internally at ISB.
Some students who do not pursue the full IB Diploma choose to sit for external certification in one or more of the IB Diploma subject areas. This programme essentially represents a combination of the above 2 programmes.
Whichever programme students follow during their final years at ISB, the essential requirement is a desire to become a part of a community of adults, committed to learning.
